What We Must Do Next It's 2006, and the midterm elections will be upon us before we know it. With those elections comes a vital opportunity to change the balance of power in the House of Representatives and Senate. Politically speaking, this is the single most important thing we should focus on right now; it will give us an opportunity to take back our democracy from an out-of-control President and his neoconservative clique. I am asking every one of you to help make this happen. I don't care who you are, how much money you make or who you know. I am just asking you to use whatever resources you have at your disposal, even if it just means buttonholing people at parties or at work to tell them what you think of the current administration and how it has mucked things up since taking office. If we pull this off-especially if it's done in a big enough way, with a real landslide-it may be possible to actually roll back at least some conservative advances. Just as importantly, we have a real shot at impeaching George W. Bush and making him account for lying us into a war that has killed thousands of Americans needlessly. Let's focus on this in the months ahead. Let's strike a blow for the working guy. Larry Flynt ![]() |
