Hello, I have some doubts if this e-mail will ever find its way to the desk of Mr. Flynt, I still wanted to write. There is always a chance that it will finds its way to him, and on that slim chance, I am going to take the time to write this note of thanks to him. I am a 27 year old normal sort of guy. I live in the cradle of conservative thought being in the city of Saint Louis. I was a fairly successful programmer/web developer before my life was torn apart by the local law enforcement agency. I was indicted about a year ago on state charges. The state had accused me of accepting a blow job from a 16 year old. However, after several months of investigation, they decided that they could not prove that I had ever even so much as met this person, much less had sexual contact with them. Unfortunately, they decided to not stop their attempt to get me on something. They had seized my computer when they first leveled the state charges against me. Soon after this they had sent my computer as well as the computer belonging to my roommate to the FBI so they could have a look at it. Of course they were looking for child porn. Now a days, if they indict you for any crime which relates to sex in any way, they also search your computer for illegal porn. The definition of what qualifies to be child porn is so broad they know they can get almost anyone who owns a computer and has an internet connection. To make a long story as short as possible, I will simply state that after they spent about 8 months investigating the allegation concerning the blow job, they gave up on that charge. Then they decided to send my computer as well as the one belonging to my roommate back to the FBI for another look. This time the FBI used a program to recover every single image that had ever been on either of these two computers. What they ended up with were a handful of images which depict "youthful" looking people who are naked. None of these people are children. Almost all of the images they are using to charge me with possession of illegal images are "vintage/old" pictures. As a result, the models depicted in them would be VERY hard for me to locate in any effort to prove that they were of legal age when the images were taken. Other images, depict porn models that are VERY commonly seen on various internet porn sites. Unfortunately for me, the law does not even allow me to make a defense based on the actual age of these models. (Even though, I believe I could contact the web sites, and ask for proof of the models age, the law does not allow this to be used as a defense.) So, as it is the state prosecutor was unable to prove the initial case against me, and so they simply decided to use a VERY broad definition of what child porn is to level 3 counts of possession of child pornography at me. Unfortunately, for me I can not see how I can make a decent argument against the charges. The definition of child porn states that if a youthful looking adult is used in a depiction, the image can be considered to be illegal if a reasonable argument can be made that the person depicted in actually under the age of 18. While I do not believe any of these models were under the age of 18 when these images were taken, they all do have a youthful appearance. As such, I believe the prosecutor could easily make a decent argument that the people are under the age of 18. Since the law so conveniently states that my ability to "prove" the actual age of the model is not a issue on which I can build my defense; I think I will have to plead the case. After all that...all I wanted to accomplish with this note was to say thank you to Mr. Flynt. Even though there are still laws out there that the government can and does use as a convenient way to charge someone they are after with a crime, I believe Mr. Flynt has helped us all by his sacrifices. I appreciate what he has done for all of us more now than ever. Before all of this happened to me, I was a big supporter of him, though I was silent about my feelings. Now that I have been forced to go through a little bit of the same sort of persecution that Mr. Flynt has experienced, I can truly appreciate what he has done for the people of the US. CORPORATIONS AS NON-AMERICAN CITIZENS HAVE NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO MOLEST OUR VOTER PROCCESS. "One man...one vote." Corporation election money, unlike Union election money, has no ethical, legal, or even emotional connection to the well-being or even the survival of the country of it's incorporation. Corporations in their birthing upon our shores, have never had a 'Green card', have never sworn an oath of allegiance, pay little or no taxes, never registered to vote, and bleed lawyers when they get cut, and yet have a demonstrably louder voice in our democracy than do the legitimate voters. Wallmart, who's interests lie in favorable relations of our country with China, brings the pressure of money and influence upon Congressional representatives massaging their attention to harken not to those they represent, but to the representative's personal gain...thus corrupting the Democratic process by non-American influence. Hustler Corp., on the other hand, expends it's efforts, not by corrupting Congressional representatives, but by informing the voters as a whole...and thus, invigorating the Democratic process and our Democracy...Warrenting, in my estimation a " Good Citizenship Status" award. Corporations with 'apple pie' names and alien interests and values, should have no more right to dabble in American politics than Saddam Hussein with his equally questionable allegiance to the betterment of USA. In a representational government, it is the citizens who are represented...this is the foundation of our Constitution...corporations need not apply...TRESSPASSERS WILL BE VIOLATED! I'm glad that somebody is out there trying to protect our civil liberties. Thank you very much. There are some stories in the press that I would like to comment on. One of these stories pertains to microchips being placed within humans. This would seem to fall into the category of illegal search and seizure should this continue to be allowed. Another statement that I would like to make pertains to Americans allowing their civil liberties to be taken away right in front of their faces starting with drug testing, more cameras, satelite surveilance and phone tapping. What does Bush really want out of this war? It is starting to sound like a New World Order more and more everyday in the headlines. What can be done to stop these tradgedies? Do we need to take these issues to the courts or shall it be the 1960's all over again. It makes it hard to get these views out when it is considered damn near unpatriotic to speak of Bush and America's actions in th Middle East in a derrogotory manner. I value what America as a country stands for but not the way that it has become. It is becoming anything other than the land of the free. Maybe there is a way that more research can be revealed to the American public to show them what is really going. I know that you guys do all that you can to fight for everyone elses freedom, just know there are many people that appreciate and value what all is being done. I'm so sickened and disheartened by the corporate media and their stables full of right-wing nut pundits, spewing lies and misinformation night after night in the hopes of covering up the crimes and atrocities that have been, and currently are, being committed by Bush and his crime family.
